Wilma Burdine

Wilma Burdine, daughter of the late Irvin and Pauline Meece Mounce, was born at Goodwater on December 3, 1943 and she departed this life on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 having attained the age of 74 years. In October of 1960, she was united in marriage to Mr. Lehman Burdine, he survives. Other survivors include two sons, Tommy (and Donna) Burdine, and Joel and (Tiffany) Burdine, one daughter, Tonya (and Troy) Davidson; a brother, James Mounce; three sisters, Betty Smith, Regina Chaney, and Elaine Baker all of Somerset, KY; ten grandchildren, Brent (and Ashlei) Burdine, Travis (and Kyla) Burdine, Kyle (and Heather) Burdine, Josh (and Danielle) Burdine, Samantha (and Zack) Hensley, Sarah (and Shane) Mounce, Elisabeth Barnett, Elaina Barnett, Kylie Taylor, and Christian Burdine; 14 great grandchildren, Saydee Burdine, Thomas Burdine, Alex Cook, Avery Cook, Fisher Hensley, Cali Sue Mounce, Jase Mounce, Dominic Spradlin, Shyanne Burdine, Tristan Burdine, Weston Burdine, Kennedy Burdine, Cross Burdine and Cohen Burdine and a host of other relatives and friends. Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by; one son, Tim Burdine; one daughter, Kimberly Burdine, and five brothers, John, Lynn, Russell, Donnie and Gary Mounce.  Wilma was a wonderful christian lady who enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, camping, and singing. She was a member of the Providence Baptist Church, and  she had a great love of family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A funeral service for Wilma Burdine will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Meece and Bro. Dallous Sears officiating.Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Wilma Burdine will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday.
