Virginia M. Wolfgram Ping, age 71, passed away to be with her beloved husband, Gerald, on August 26, 2022.
She worked and retired from the City of Sarasota, Florida and lived there for more than 45 years. She spent her remaining life with her first love, Gerald, in Somerset, Kentucky. Virginia was a loving, generous person, and made so many laugh in her company.
She is predeceased by her husband, Gerald T. Ping, her mother, Lucille Sieglar Wolfgram, and her brother, Douglas Wolfgram.
She is survived by her stepdaughter Rev. Lana Duda and her husband Rev. Paul J. Duda of Ozark, MO, Assemblies of God World Missionaries. Her grandchildren Paul George, Joshua, Jennifer, and Josiah Duda. Also, her great-grandchildren Lillian, Gabriel, and Joshua Paul Duda, all from Springfield, MO. They affectionately called her "Mimi Ping." She was also survived by her son, Gerald (Pam) Ping Jr., from Port Charlotte, Florida. She will be forever missed by her lifelong friends who were sisters of her heart Kay (Roy) Cain and Judy (Robert) Wallace, as well as daughters of her heart Lora Cain, Diana (Bart) Cain Rasper, Virginia Cain Casey, grandsons, Bryan (Kathy) Casey and Sean Casey (Godson) Her friends and caregivers David Osborne and Sue Taylor loved her dearly.
A graveside service will be held at Mill Springs National Cemetery on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 1:30 pm.
