Virginia G. Anderson, daughter of the late Richard and Ethel Girdler Godby, was born in Somerset, KY on Wednesday,October 17, 1934 and she departed this life on Saturday, September 4, 2021 having attained the age of 86 years.
She was united in marriage to Mr.James Stanley Wesley. He preceded her in death in 1969. She was later united in marriage to Mr. Lee Anderson, he also preceded her in death.
Survivors include; one son, Richard (and Kimberly) Wesley; two daughters; Beverly (and Kenny) Tomlinson and Lana (and Larry) Kerr all of Somerset, KY; also surviving are five grandchildren, Joey Wilson, Ginger Todd, Cody Wesley, Tracey Ruble and Christy White as well as 11 great grandchildren.
Other than her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by ; two brothers, Lloyd Curtis Godby and James Coy Godby; and one sister, Myrtle Arlene Stringer.
Virginia was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church and had attened for more than 50 years. She loved word search puzzles and TV shows like Judge Judy and various game shows. For many years she was the co-owner of Anderson Greenhouses with her late husband. She was a kind Christian lady who loved everyone and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 9th at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in the Bobbitt Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Virginia Anderson will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. Thursday until time for services.
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund, 808 Bourne Avenue, Somerset, KY 42501.
