Virgil Astor Diamond, Jr., 85, of Science Hill, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Bluegrass Senior Living in Somerset.
He was born in Pulaski Co., on March 18, 1937; son of the late Virgil Astor Diamond, Sr., and Valentine Morgan Diamond. He worked as a driller and farmer. He enjoyed coon hunting, trading knives, collecting Indian artifacts, and watching all sports, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Campground Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Donna & (Joey) Hall of Science Hill, Cindy & (Tom) Clouse of Somerset; daughter-in-law, Mary Martin Diamond; grandchildren, Aaron & (Kennedy) Hall, Spencer Diamond, Riley & (Haley) Hall, Makenzie Clouse, and Ben Clouse; and one great-grandchild, Cedar Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 53 years, Janet Bishop Diamond; a son, Virgil Astor Diamond, III; two brothers, Glen Diamond, Larry Diamond; and a sister, Mary Susan Down.
A funeral service will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery in Waynesburg.
Visitation will be after 12:00 PM Wednesday, September 28, 2022 until time for services.
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Pulaski Co. Alzheimer's Respite Center.
