Verna Brewer, age 89 of Somerset, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024 in Lexington, Kentucky at the U. K. Medical Center.
She was born December 31, 1934 in Covington, Kentucky to James and Wilma ( Wilson) Mounce and she was their only child. She was a resident of Pulaski County and a graduate of Pulaski County High School. Verna loved to work puzzles and to spend time reading. She was the mother to three children and grandmother two grandchildren. She will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law Linda and Mike Edwards, Her two sons Sam and Kevin Brewer, two grand children; Cathy Brewer and Chris Brewer.
Verna was preceded in death by her parents, James Earl Mounce and Wilma Mounce.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy McKinney officiating.
Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends after 12 PM Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home until time for services.
