Velda Mae Hinkle

Velda Mae Hinkle, age 83 of Somerset, Kentucky. Passed from this life May 22, 2019 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.Born on January 5, 1936 in Somerset, Kentucky to the late Jerry and Beulah Stevens. She wed Earl Hinkle on July 24, 1954, he preceded her in death on April 1, 1992. Velda was a member of Somerset First Church of the Nazarene, and attended Beacon Hill Baptist with her family. She was also preceded in death by two sisters; Hazel Taylor, Christine Sowers and one brother Harold Stevens. She is survived by her son Bruce (and Deborah) Hinkle of Smyrna, Tn her daughter Kim (and Brent) Tarter of Somerset, Ky; One brother Lester Stevens of Louisville, Ky. 6 grandchildren Nathan (and Megan) Hinkle, Johnathan Hinkle, Michelle ( and Joe Kuehner), Rachel Hinkle, Austin (and Kylee) Tarter, Zack Tarter, and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday May 24, 2019 at Somerset First Church of the Nazarene from 10:30 am- 12:30 pm. The funeral service will follow at 12:30pm at the church of the Nazarene with Pastor Caleb Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside MemorIal Gardens. Pulaski Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Velda Mae Hinkle.
