Timothy Alan Trimble of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024, after a brief illness.
Tim was born in Pulaski County on March 14, 1956. He grew up humbly on a dairy farm where he learned to work hard and to love animals and the land.
Tim graduated from Somerset High School in 1974. During his time in high school he played football as a Briar Jumper and developed a lifelong love of the game. With his playing days long over, Tim had taken to coaching from the comfort of his recliner. Despite our best efforts, he was a dedicated University of Louisville fan.
Tim was passionate about his career as a public servant, working for the USDA grading tobacco for several decades before retirement. Tim Trimble was a smart, funny, and kind man, and he will be greatly missed by those who loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Christine Trimble, and his siblings (Larry Trimble, Rosemary Ellis, and Joey Trimble). Tim leaves behind 3 daughters, Dr. Beth Hartai (Dr. Ákos Hartai) of Plano, Texas, Dulcey Trimble (John Evans) of Kernersville, NC, and Raina Trimble of Louisville, Kentucky; and 3 grandsons, Daniel Hartai, Bálint Hartai, and Henry Trimble, whom he loved and was so proud of.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at Pulaski Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. The funeral will be on Thursday, October 17, 2024 in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home at 11:00 AM.
Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, Tim’s family ask that you make a donation to a charity of your choice. Helping those in need, especially the oppressed and marginalized, was very important to Tim.
Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
