Thomas H. Boone, age 97, of Ferguson, Ky, passed away February 1, 2018.He was preceeded in death by his wife of 67 years, Marjorie Sexton Boone as well as his parents Samuel T. and Ora Floyd Boone and his brother James Boone. He is survived by one brother, Jack Ford of Stanford, Ky, two nephews Mark Boone (Francesca) of Gainesville, Florida and Daniel Boone (Dorothy) of Colts Neck, New Jersey. He was born June 10, 1920, in Stanford, Ky. and moved to Ferguson in 1925. He graduated from Ferguson High School in 1938. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy August, 1941 until he was discharged in October 1945. He was a member of the Ferguson Baptist Church for more than 75 years where he held many positions and was a member of the choir. He was also a member of the Oleika Temple for many years.He and his partner, Bill Sumner, owned Boone and Sumner Paint and Manufacturing Company for more than 40 years. Funeral services for Tom Boone will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in the Somerset Cemetery.The family of Mr. Tom Boone will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 12 noon until time for services. In lieu of flowers, the family request expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Ferguson Baptist Church Building Fund.Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of the funeral arrangements of Mr. Tom Boone.
