Stephen Clark Pitman

Stephen Clark Pitman, 63, of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Rockcastle Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on February 28, 1955; son of the late Earl Lee (Buddy) and Gladys Ellen Craig Pitman. Stephen was a 1973 graduate of Monticello Independent High School. Stephen attended Higher Praise Ministries Church of God. He went on to become a master carpenter. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, music, horseback riding, reading, and was a champion dumpling cook, and really enjoyed his Harley.

Stephen is survived by his wife Barbara Howard Pitman of Mt. Vernon, KY; one daughter, Stephany Leigh Hancock of Monticello, Kentucky; siblings, Sharon Pitman Fuller of Clinton, IN; Larry Pitman & (Jane) of Lexington, KY; and Holly Pitman Whitaker & (Mike) of Somerset, KY; a step-daughter, Jamie McNew & (Anthony) of Corbin, KY; and a step-son, John Thomas Mills & (Deb) of London, KY. Stephen leaves nieces and nephews, Scott Whittenburg, Lee Whittenburg, Jason Pitman, Scarlet Pitman Murphy, Alexandra Miniard, and Drew Miniard.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Davidson.

Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery, Monticello, KY.

A visitation will be held from 5-8 PM Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home.
