Sonya Phelps

Sonya Louise Phelps, age 76, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025 at the Jean Waddle Care Center.

She was born March 2, 1949 to the late Barney & Maxine Rogers in Pulaski County, Kentucky. In her free time, Sonya enjoyed her flowers and reading. She was united in marriage February 1, 1969 to the love of her life, Glenn Phelps, with whom she shared 56 years of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Glenn Phelps; one son, Anthony Phelps; one daughter, Amy & (Jonathon) Jordan; four grandchildren, Charles Todd & (Angel) Reed, Matthew Jordan, Ashley Phelps, and Adriana & (Kody) Smith; one great-grandchild, Rilynn Kate Smith; and five siblings, Raymond Rogers, James Rogers, David Rogers, Ronald Rogers, and Robin Chriswell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Barney & Maxine Rogers.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until time for services at Pulaski Funeral Home.
