Shirley Jean Randall, daughter of the late Walter and Verlie Bullock Black, was born, Monday October 14, 1940, and she passed away on Monday June 29, 2020 having attained the age of 79 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Charles Randall on September 10, 1961. He preceded her in death on January 1st of this year. Survivors include; two siblings, Betty Ruth Black Isaacs of Radcliff, KY and Johnny Henderson (and Joann Finley) Black of Somerset, KY; two sisters-in-law, Norma Lee (and Johnny) Whitaker and Sandy Kay (and Bill) Caldwell; a brother-in-law, Willard Randall as well as many nephews and nieces all of whom she loved more than herself. Shirley was a member of the Acorn Baptist Church, and had been a CNA at Somerset Hospital plus, she provided home health care for numerous patients. She enjoyed sewing and gardening and always made sure no one went hungry. Shirley gave of herself and never expected anything in return. She was always the "Rock" that everyone else leaned on and she did it selflessly. She leaves behind huge void that will never be filled, but a wealth of memories to light our way and ease the pain. Other than her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by; one son, Charles William Randall; a brother-in-law, James Randall; and her mother and father-in-law, Oscar and Zella Phelps Randall. A funeral service for Shirley Jean Randall will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Sutton and Bro. Garnet Tuttle officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Gap Cemetery. The family of Shirley Jean Randall will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 6th and from 9 am Tuesday until time for services. In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Cedar Gap Cemetery Fund.
