Ruth Gaynelle Baker

Ruth Gaynelle Shearer Baker passed away on September 25,2019. She was born on October 11, 1940, was the proud daughter of Ralph and Mildred Shearer and a longtime employee of Southern Belle Dairy. She is survived by brothers Max (Arlene) Shearer and Martin (Libby) Shearer and their families, .sons Dick Baker, Paul (Rhonda) Baker, Mark (Shelley) Baker and Tim (Tammy) Baker, grandchildren Evan (Leeanne), Jordan, Mac, Alex, Amelia, Jenny Kate, Calloway, Caroline, John Clark, Bobby, and Shelby, great-grandchildren Logan, Landon, Felicity, Cadence, Milo and Boyd. She was a member of Porter Memorial Baptist Church in Lexington. She was an avid fan of UK sports, an avid reader and historian who enjoyed trips to historic places. She loved her family, pets, gardening, playing cards, and vacationing at Pawley's Island , South Carolina with family and friends.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Special Olympics of Kentucky.
