Russell Cox

Russell Cox, 81, of Somerset, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025 at his residence.

He was born in Tateville, Kentucky on January 1, 1944; son of the late John and Eceal (Bray) Cox. He was retired as railroad laborer. He was a member of Somerset Baptist Temple. He enjoyed fishing, going to the Gospel Radio Barn, and taking care of the Pioneer Club at Church in the past.

He is survived by his son, Charles & (Angela) Cox; grandchildren, Shannon & (Shelby) Sneed, Jade & (Coy) Strunk, Skyler Cox, and Dakota Cox; great-grandchildren, Theodore Sneed, Waylon Strunk, and Calliope Strunk; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Dean Cox; his parents; siblings, Bobby Cox, Geneva Alton, Betty Jean, and Wilma Cox; and two siblings who died in infancy.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Friday, April 25, 2025 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. David Carr officiating.

Burial will be in Keith Cemetery, McCreary Co., Kentucky.

The family will receive friends after 12 PM Friday, until time for services.
