Ruby Meece

Ruby Meece, 65, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away February 14, 2025 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset.

Ruby was born September 22, 1959 to Cecil and Alice Birchfield Sears. She held a degree in nursing from Somersewt Community College. She Loved nursing and was a hard worker, her career spanned many years and she was employed at several places, including Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, Somerset Nursing and Rehab and Somerwoods Nursing Home.

She enjoyed Gardening and working in her flowers, taking trips to the lake and creek with her grandkids, spending time with her brothers and sisters and sitting outside in the sun. She was a caregiver to many and it never mattered to her if they were family or not she still cared for them like her own. Her greatest joy was being a grandma and she loved her grandchildren more than life. She loved the Lord and attended Buck Creek Baptist Church.

She leaves behind her Children; Ernest "Junior" (Chantel) Meece, Christopher "Shane" (Ashton) Meece, James " Jamie" Meece, Jessica Meece (Justin Dyer), and Amy Unthank Meece, two step daughters, Linda Ann (Troy) Pool and Brenda Aubrey, Her former husband and friend Edward Allen Meece, ten grandchildren; Devin Meece, Kaleb (Chelsey) Meece, Leiya Meece, Bella Meece, Zoey Godby, Joshua " Joshie" Godby, Genesis Meece, Remy Meece, Kensley Dyer, and one waiting to be born, three step grand children, Joshua (Sarah) Lucas, Cole Aubrey, and Lauren (Billy) Denner, Six Great Grand Children; Alaina Meece, Elias Meece, Kainan Meece, Willow May Meece and Jasper Bottom who is soon to be born, brothers; Vola (Ona) Sears, Bobby (Tonya) Sears, sisters, Margaret Bautista, Mary (Gary) Sears, Martha Sears, And Phyllis Sears as well as a host of family, friends and loved ones too numerous to name.

She was preceded in death by her parents,one grand child Kenneth Maddox Dyer who passed in infancy and one step grand child, Jordan Pool as well as a member of her extended family, Trampus Connor.

A funeral Service will be held Friday, February 21, 2025 in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home at 1:00 pm with Bro. Scotty Nix officiating.

The family will receive friends in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM.

Burial will be in Wesley's Chapel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to The Ruby Meece Memorial Fund, C/O Pulaski Funeral Home.
