Roger Dean Foster

May 17, 1958 — February 14, 2022

Roger Dean Foster, passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of his home Monday, February 14th, 2022 in Somerset, Kentucky. He was 63 years old. He was the son of the late Dewey Foster and Dorothy Ard Foster.

Roger grew up in Pulaski County where he was an avid outdoors man who loved fishing and hunting. Since 1985 he held the state record for striped bass, an accomplishment he was always proud of. Family was always the most important thing in his eyes. Roger enjoyed cooking for his family and teaching his kids and grand kids all he knew about the outdoors. Every November he had the chance to combine cooking and Hunting at deer camp where he would fix meals over a campfire for those he loved. He owned Roger's Starter Service for decades and was a staple of the  community for starter and alternator work. He was a long time proud member of the Sievers Masonic Lodge #491 in Nancy, Kentucky. He was also a member of Ringgold Methodist Church. His Loving family will miss him more than words can say.

Roger is survived by his three Children; Josh Foster and his wife Melissa, Benjamin Foster and Casie Worley and her husband Daniel, as well as six grandchildren; Jordan Foster , Jessa Foster, Justin Foster , Eli Foster, Ella Foster and Bishop Worley. Sister; Chestena Childers, Brothers; Elvin ( Katie) Foster, Delvin (Lois) Foster, Benny (Marylou) Foster and Jimmy Foster. as well as two sisters in law, Donna Foster and Gladys Foster .

He was preceded in death by his parents; Dewey Foster and Dorothy Ard Foster; Sisters; Alfreda Stringer, Jewell Calhoun and Cathrine Eloise, Brothers William Jerry Foster and Delmer Foster , brother in laws; Virgil Childers, Curtis Calhoun and Dale Stringer.

Services for Mr. Foster are private and will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home.

Burial Will Follow in Smith Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations in memory of Roger Foster C/O Pulaski Funeral Home, P.O Box 697, Somerset Kentucky 42502.
