Rebecca Ballard

Update: February 15, 2025, at the conclusion of Mrs. Ballard's service the family and Pulaski Funeral Home decided that the weather conditions permitted we postpone burial services. We deem it only fair for Rebecca to receive the service she deserves, and the rain and cemetery conditions will not allow that. Family and friends are encouraged to meet at Fairview Cemetery in Nancy on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 11:00 AM for Rebecca's committal.

Rebecca Ballard, 65, of Eubank Kentucky, went home to be with her Lord, February 8, 2025.

She was born September 5, 1959 in Somerset, Kentucky to Samuel and Edna Tarter Burton. Her husband, Tim married the love of his life on August 1st, 1992 and they would spend the next 32 years loving each other and raising their son Jacob. Rebecca was a strong willed and independent lady but also was giving and loving to her family and those around her. She was a amazing aunt to her nieces and nephews who knew her as Beepa and Boopa. The most important thing in her life was her faith in Jesus Christ and her love for the Lord was apparent to anyone who met her. The thing she most wanted was for people to know the Lord and have assurance of their place in eternity, like she did. Rebecca was a true example of discipleship, stating that even if she did not survive her illness that if just one person could be brought to the Lord through her passing that it would be worth it.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Tim Ballard, one son; Jacob Ballard, three brothers; John (June) Burton, Gary (Sue) Burton and Billy Burton, one sister, Joan (Terry) Tucker, as well as a host of nieces and nephews all who will greatly miss her and her love.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Edna Burton, one brother; David Burton and one sister Karen Sadler.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025 in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral home at 2:00 PM with Bro. Trevor Reynolds officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday February 15, 2025 from 11:00 AM till 2:00 PM in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home.

It was Rebecca's wish that in lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideons International Bible program to help spread the good news of salvation to others.

Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
