Rebecca "Becky" Alexander

Rebecca M. Alexander was born on August 11, 1934 in Stanford, KY, to the late LeGardus Weaver and George Coffey. Rebecca departed this life and entered into eternal rest on June 28, 2021 at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio, TX at the age of eighty-six.

Rebecca accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and remained a very faithful member of Davis AME Chapel and loved to sing in the church choir.

Rebecca was joined in holy matrimony to the late Joe Clarence Alexander, and they remained devoted to each other until he entered eternal rest on November 21, 2005. The union produced two children, Tony J. Alexander and Susan L. Alexander-Smith.

Rebecca was proceeded in death by her brother, Claude Coffey; son, Tony J. Alexander; and sister, Iola M. Coffey.

Rebecca had a career as a telephone switchboard operator and later in life was employed by the families of Drs. Weigel and Cole. She took pleasure in flower gardening, cooking, and collecting antiques. Rebecca never met a stranger and engaged in conversation with anyone she met.

Rebecca leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Susan L. Alexander-Smith; son-in-law, Rev. Lance L. Smith; granddaughter, Cierra Alexander; grandson, Jordan Smith, two great grandchildren, and many special nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Rebecca also had a very special bond with the families of Dr. Joe (Libby) Weigel and Dr. Stan (Gretchen) Cole.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 11,2021 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Pulaski Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted on July 12,2021 at 1:00 P.M. by Rev. Kelly Roberts of Davis AME Chapel. Burial will follow in Mill Springs National Cemetery.
