Phyllis Jewell Richardson

Phyllis Jewell Richardson, 85, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Somerset Nursing & Rehab. She was born in the Alpine Community on March 14, 1933; daughter of the late Joseph and Lena Goodin Calhoun. She was united in marriage to Mr. Richard Richardson, he preceded her in death earlier this year. She was a member of Malvin Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed both playing Piano and Singing, and spending time with her family. She is survived by grandchildren, Rick Richardson, Melody Richardson, and Mark Richardson; brother, Lawrence & (Dessie) Calhoun; and a sister, Wanda Hargis; and three great-grandchildren, Eriq Richardson, Chelsea Richardson, and Blake Richardson; and a host of other friends and relatives. Other than her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by; a son, Wendell Richardson; a brother, Kenneth Calhoun; and five sisters, Virginia Hargis, Lela "Sissy" Richardson, Audell Richardson, Imogene Burden, and Iree Losey. She was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives, friends and church family who mourn her passing and celebrate her home going. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Donavon Smith officiating.Burial will be in Malvin Hill Cemetery.Visitation will be after 5:00 PM Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Pulaski Funeral Home.Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
