Phillip J. Stith, 39, of Lexington, Kentucky passed away July 30, 2020.
He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on October 11, 1980; son of Linda Coldiron Stith, and the late James Stith. He was a 1999 graduate of Somerset High School. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran, and he served a tour in Iraq during his military service. Most of all, he loved being a dad. Phillip was a graduate of both Eastern Kentucky University and the University of Kentucky. He was an avid University of Kentucky basketball and football fan. He enjoyed listening to classic country music and loved The Beatles.
Phillip is survived by his wife, Amy Darnall Stith; two sons, James Wyatt Stith and Dylan Walker Stith his mother, Linda Coldiron Stith; a sister, Allison Phelps Hilbert & (Chris); a brother, Allen Phelps & (Jason Heard); maternal grandmother, Pauline Coldiron; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Stith; and his maternal grandfather, Rev. Lenville Coldiron; paternal grandparents, Dr. James and Matlida Stith.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, August 3, 2020 at First Baptist Church - Somerset with Bill Adcock officiating.
Burial will follow in Mill Springs National Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Sunday, August 2, 2020 at First Baptist Church - Somerset, and after 11 AM Monday August 3, 2020 until time for services.
