Paul Vernon Price, 88, of Somerset passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at home. He was born on December 12, 1931, Ocala, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Paul M and Nannie Elizabeth Price. He was married to his beloved wife, Lelia Jean Playforth Price on July 3, 1956. He is survived by his wife of 64 years; three sons, Glenn Keith & (Cathy) Price; Daryl Vernon & (Sheila) Price; and Stephen Paul & (Michelle) Price; six grandchildren, Kimberly Jean & (Jon) Robbins, Dara Lee Price, Medi Renee Price, William Paul Price, Sarah Elizabeth Price and Brayden Curtis Price; great grandchildren include: Ethan Kevin Robbins, Hank River Hocker, and Elijah Vernon Robbins; along with a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Viola Emogene Debord; a brother, Eddie Freeman Price; and granddaughter, Emily Jean Price. Vernon loved his Lord, his family and his church family. He was a faithful member of the Hazeldell Church of Christ. Vernon worked for 17 years at General Motors, Norwood, OH. He was a dairy farmer and home builder where he built over 100 homes around Pulaski, Lincoln and Rockcastle counties. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 30th, with Bro. Ferlin Price officiating. Burial will be held in Hazeldell Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Pulaski Funeral Home, Tuesday, September 29, from 5-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be grandsons, William Price, Brayden Price, grandson-in-law, Jon Robbins, as well as nephews, Clinton Debord, Denton Debord and Doug Blevins. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
