Ona D Sears

Ona Dean Ridner Sears age 72.

Ona was a life long resident of Somerset, Kentucky. Ona passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on August 4, 1952 to the late Howard and Elva Ping Ridner. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was united in marriage to Jerry Sears on May 3, 1969. They had 55 wonderful years together.

She loved her family, Jesus, fishing, and cooking. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Sears; daughters, Debby Sutton, Donna & (Bruce) Owens, Jasmine Sears, and Chloe Sears all of Somerset; one son, Jerry Jason Sears & (Samantha) of Somerset; grandchildren, Sara & (BJ) Rose, Tyler & (Kate) Owens, Chelsie & (Alex) Hillard, Kiley Sutton, Jaden Sears, and Leah Sears; great-grandchildren, Hartley Rose, Kaden Rose, Madelyn Owens, Taylor Owens, AJ Brown, Zoey Carey, and Iris Boyd; one sister, Vanna Sears; two brothers, Jack & (Doris) Ridner, Jeff & (Marie) Ridner all of Somerset; and a sister-in-law, Kim Ridner of Texas.

Ona was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Elva Ping Ridner; brothers, Johnny Ridner, Russell Ridner, Joe Ridner, and Roger Ridner, three brothers which died in infancy one son-in-law, Bro. Steve Sutton; brother-in-law, Vernon Sears; two sister-in-law, Betty Ridner and Martha Ridner.

A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, August 29, 2024 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Dalous Sears and Bro. Raymond Ridner officiating.

Burial will be in White Lily Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 11 AM Thursday, August 29, 2024 until time for services.

In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
