Netha Mae Bloemer, 98 years old, passed away peacefully on March 18,2020 at The Season’s of Alexandria. She was the widow of WWII veteran John “Sweetie” Bloemer. They shared 57 years of marriage together. Born in White Lily, Kentucky, she was the eldest of 13 children and raised by Alonzo and Bessie Ping. She was employed at Liton and worked as an office clerk. She was a committed member of Beaverlick Baptist Church. She enjoyed camping, square dancing, sewing/quilting, playing card/board games, and most importantly always cheering on her University of Kentucky Wildcats. She will be most remembered for the love she had for her family, and her strong and unwavering faith. She is survived by her brothers Jack, Joe, and Bill Ping, and her sister Cecelia Maxey, son Rodney Richardson, grandchildren Renee Pirolo, Kim Bales, Dawn Mallery, Lonnie Richardson, and Netha and Robbie Richardson. Alongside, her great grandchildren Tyler Roop, Andrea Pirolo, Jensen and Ashley Bales, Rachael Smith, Jenna and Michael Mallery, and Samantha and Ethan Richardson. She was preceded in death by her son Bob Richardson, daughter Debbie Shurley, siblings Jimmy Ping, Richard Ping(surviving spouse Wanda), Orville Ping, Edd Ping, Ray Ping, Forrest Ping, Ruth Tully, and Sherry Ping- Miles. A private visitation and funeral service will be held for the immediate family of Mrs. Netha Mae Bloemer. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
