Mrs. Alpha Huddleston

Mrs. Alpha Huddleston, daughter of the late Charles and Sladie Vanhook Wright was born at Shopville, KY on Sunday, February 6, 1927 and she departed this life on Saturday, August 4, 2018 having attained the age of 91 years, 5 months and 29 days.She was united in marriage to Mr. Sam Huddleston on February 4, 1967 in Shelbyville, Indiana. He preceded her in death.Survivors include; one daughter, Kelly Haney of Somerset; nine grandchildren, Holly (and Mike) Ashley, Krista (and Nick) Russell, Charlie (and Tisha) Sears, Laura Lee Tucker, Kendra Eldridge, Jake (and Melissa) Aton, Samuel Aaron Brown, Griffin Chase Brown, and Morgan Elizabeth Haney; eight great grandchildren, Jacob Aton, McKena Aton, Channer Sears, Addyson Sears, Ella Ray, Willow Ava Jaymes Brown, Maddelyn Russell and Hadlee Hartmann. and a host of other relatives.Other than her parents, Alpha was also preceded in death by; two sons, Charles Edward Sears and Kenneth Murrell Eldridge; three brothers, Charles Wright, Jr., Bill Wright and John Wright; and three sisters, Geraldine White, Mildred Whitaker and Faye Hargis.Alpha was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church, she enjoyed needlepoint, and spending time with her family. She was a wonderful person who will be greatly missed by her friends and family and leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing.A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Dr. Harold Brown, Rev. Clyde Strunk and Rev. Gary Phelps officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.The family of Mrs. Alpha Huddleston will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until time for services.In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions in loving memory of Alpha Huddleston, to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, KY 42503.Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family of Mrs. Alpha Huddleston.
