George Wayne Creekmore, 70 of Somerset, departed this life on Monday, December 16, 2019 peacefully at home.He was born on April 12, 1949 in Somerset to the late Scott and Mable Christine Hampton-Creekmore. George retired from the City of Somerset Natural Gas department as the manager of operations. He became a member of West Somerset Baptist Church on April 23, 1958 where he served many years as a Sunday School teacher and youth director. George was an avid collector of toy trains and enjoyed working on small engines. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Mae Guth-Creekmore, who he married on July 17, 1971 and a daughter, Amanda Brook Creekmore-White (and Brandon). George is also survived by his precious grandchildren, Baron, Adelyn and Beacon White and a niece, Melissa Christine Creekmore (and Brian).George was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Walter Noble Creekmore; his sister-in-law, Mary Denham-Creekmore; a nephew, Walter Scott Creekmore and a niece, Kristina Sue Creekmore.Visitation for George will be Wednesday, December 18 at 5:00 p.m. at Pulaski Funeral Home, 165 KY-2227, Somerset. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 19 at 11:00 a.m. at West Somerset Baptist Church, 736 W. Hwy. 80, Somerset with Bro. Larry Butte officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.Expressions of sympathy can be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or Gideons International. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
