Mary Ardith Nicholas

Mary Ardith Nicholas, 90, of Somerset, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Somerset Nursing & Rehab.

She was born May 27, 1930 in Somerset; daughter of the late, Oscar & Zella (Gadberry) Branscum. She was a supervisor at Palm Beach; and was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church, where she played the organ and had attended since July 1940. She was a talented seamstress, an amazing cook, and loved traveling the world. She enjoyed family gatherings and doing needle point artwork. She was the center of our family.

She is survived by her two grandchildren, Angela & (Alex) Nicholas Garner and Eric Nicholas; her sisters, Florence Lane & Katherine Mincey; a daughter-in-law, Vickie Nicholas; and several cousins, nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard E. “Dook” Nicholas; a son, Ronald Nicholas; and a brother, Bill Branscum.

Private Services will be held at Pulaski Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Oakhill Baptist Church.
