Mary Mildred Barron

Mary Mildred Barron passed away at Somerwoods Nursing and Rehab on March 6, 2019. She was 89 years old. She was the daughter of the late Logan and Cora Ellen Slavey Baker. She was a retired cook at Pulaski County High School and a homemaker. She was a member of the Eden Baptist Church. Mary was a wonderful mother and grandmother . She loved her family very much. Mary is survived by three children, Louise Smith (Gene Owens) of Columbia, Ira Lee (and Phyllis) Barron and Sherri Reynolds (Tony Nevels) all of Someret; four grandchilldren, Stacie (Tim) Smith, of Crab Orchard, Shelley (and Dick) Gribbins of Campbellsville, Scotty Barron of Somerset and Matthew Reynolds of Science Hill; four great grandchildren, Lucas Smith, and Sarah Childress both of Crab Orchard, Tyler Barron and Sophie Reynolds both of Somerset; one great great grandson, Deckard Childress of Crab Orchard and one sister, Eula Taylor of Somerset. Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lester B. Barron; four sisters, Okel Adams, Wilma Turpin, Stella Eason and Pearlie Baker and three brothers, Ira Baker, Edwin Baker and Willie Baker. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2019 at the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Bradley Goforth officiating. Burial will follow in the Eden Cemetery. The family of Mrs. Mary Barron will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a..m. Monday until time for services. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions take the form of donations to the Activities Department of Somerwoods Nursing and Rehab. Pulaski Funeral Home is honored in assisting the family of Mrs. Mary Barron.
