Martha Kiser

Martha L. Kiser, age 70 passed away at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky on December 3, 2022.

She was born in Somerset on August 31, 1952 to Kenneth and Velna Muse Ard. Martha was a graduate of the Pulaski County High School Class of 1970, After graduation she attended the University of Kentucky School of Nursing where she earned her nursing degree in 1974. In addition to providing 48 years of exceptional patient care at Somerset Hospital and Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital,  Martha  taught nursing Skills at Somerset Community College as well as Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Martha adored her fur babies and enjoyed spending time with her dogs and cats, acrylic painting and loved being at or around the beach. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Somerset.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Velna Ard.

She leaves behind her husband, Jeff Kiser, one daughter; Anna Louise Kiser of Somerset, and a brother; Raymond (Iryna) Ard of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. She will be greatly missed.

A funeral Service will be held at Pulaski Funeral Home on December 7, 2022 at 10:00 AM with Dr. Dan Garland officiating. The family will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial will be in the Burnside Cemetery.
