Marian Evans

Marian Elaine Evans, 80, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at her residence.

She was born on February 5, 1945; daughter of the late Onie and Zelma (Waters) Meece. She was graduate of Somerset High School. She married Paul E. Evans on September 14, 1962. She enjoyed singing, shopping, attending church and spending time with her family, friends, and church family. She was a member of New Beginnings Worship Center.

She is survived by three daughters, Paula Claunch, Tina Duncan & (Tom) of Fort Walton Beach, FL., Cindy Pumphrey & (Patrick); one brother, Carl & Jeanette Meece of Indianapolis, In; five grandchildren, Jeffrey and Shania Morris, Alecia & (Chad) Leigh, Tyler and Cali Pumphrey; two special nieces, Kim Cassada and Susan Crouch; a special friend, Brenda Patterson; and three great-grandchildren, Oliver, Dean, and Abel.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Paul E. Evans; one brother, Carroll Meece; and one sister, Joyce Beck.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Thursday, February 27, 2025 at New Beginnings Worship Center.

Burial will be in Somerset Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 11 AM Thursday, February 27, 2025 at New Beginnings Worship Center until time for services.

In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Marian Evans Memorial Fund.
