Margaret Ruth Burris having attained the age of 83 passed away peacefully on January 26th, 2024 into the arms of her savior after a lengthy illness at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.
Margaret was a strong Christian lady who loved her Lord and her church. Margaret was a wonderful cook, loved to plant flowers, spent many years square dancing and sewing the beautiful outfits they square danced in, and singing in a quartet with her family for many years. Margaret had a huge heart and loved her home and family deeply.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband who she loved with all her heart for 64 years Donald Lloyd Burris; one son who she cherished deeply, Anthony Ray (and Peggy) Burris; her special in-laws, Lewis and Phyllis Turpin; special nieces, Stacy Corder (and family), Kendra Jarnigan (and family), Kentessa Birner (and family); special nephews, Jim Vanhook (and family), Joe Vanhook (and family), Neal Burris (and family), Jason Burris (and family), and John Vanhook (and family); a brother-in-law, Robert and Linda Burris (and family); two sisters-in-law, Ruth Pickett (and family), and Lessie Vanhook (and family) and a niece, Cathy and Bud Cooper (and family), and a host of other family and friends.
Other than her parents, Margaret was also preceded in death by; two brothers, Charles and James Vanhook; one brother-in-law, Doyle Wayne Pickett; and one sister-in-law, Sue Rains.
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy go to the Jean Waddle Care Center, Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
A funeral service for Margaret Burris will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 30th, 2024 at the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family of Margaret Burris will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until time for services.
