Lula Dick, 85, of Somerset, passed away Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Jean Waddle Care Center, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Lincoln Co., on March 31, 1934; daughter of the late Harvey and Nina Sutton Haste. Even though she retired from Dairy Queen, she remained famous for making their biscuits. Lula enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, taking them to the library, attending all of their sports activities traveling both near and far. She loved spending time with her family, walking, and listening to gospel music. She was a member of Southside Church of Christ.
She is survived by her twin daughters, Ann & (Brian) Presley, and Lisa & (Steve) Phelps; grandchildren, Sarah Elisabeth & (Jed) Lawrence, Brandon Presley, John Phelps & (Sara Swanson), and a great-granddaughter, Zoey Jane Lawrence; siblings, Carroll & (Betty) Haste, Barbara Wilson, Pauline Wiles, and Dorothy & (Leon) Whiles; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Calhoun.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Dick; her parents; brothers, William Harvey Haste, Harold Lester Haste, and Herbert Ray "Herbie" Haste; two sisters, Irene Hall, and Lois Melton; sister-in-laws, Kathleen Haste, Roberta Haste, Lou Thompson, Sarah Roberts, Elizabeth Beasley, and Minnie Girdler; brother-in-laws, Charles Wilson, Tom Melton, Floyd Wiles, Don Hall, Clyde Godby, Wilbur Thompson, Harold Roberts, Alger Beasley, Roy Girdler, and James Calhoun.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday, March 6, 2020 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. David Hurst officiating.
Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5 PM Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Pulaski Funeral Home.
