Mr. Logan Tarter, 89, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away at Clinton Co. Health & Rehab.
He was born in Nancy, Kentucky on April 16, 1930; son of the late Jim and Bertha Burton Tarter. He was the owner and operator of the Logan Tarter Upholstery Shop, which he started in 1960. He was a farmer, enjoyed woodworking, making picture frames, and playing the banjo and dulcimer. He loved gardening and especially planting rainbow tomatoes.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dorene Floyd Tarter, whom he married on February 14, 1956; a daughter, Karen R. Johnson of Nancy; a grand-daughter, Angela M. Johnson; a sister, Ruth Keeney of Nancy; and a special family friend, Larry G. Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lillian Coe and Vinnie Baker; five brothers, Robert "Bob" Tarter, Ezra Tarter, Lonnie Tarter, Wyatt Tarter, and Linnie Tarter.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM, Friday, May 17, 2019 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Lester Caldwell officiating.
Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
Visitation for Mr. Logan Tarter will be after 10 AM Friday, May 17, 2019 at Pulaski Funeral Home until time for funeral services.
