Linda S. Hargis

Linda Sue Hargis, 73 years of age of Somerset, Kentucky departed this life on Monday, November 11, 2019 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born on April 18th, 1946 in Pulaski County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Arlie and Evelyn Slavey Hargis. She was a resident of Somerwoods Nursing and Rehab. She was a member of Denham Street Baptist Church. She loved her home at Somerwoods. Sue cherished her friends and the nursing staff there. She had a great love for children. Sue was a caregiver for many children throughout her lifetime especially her great nieces, great nephews and great great nephew. Their love for her was beyond words. Sue was the most caring and gentle person to all she knew. Her kindness to others was a remarkable trait we all should attempt to achieve.

Sue is survived by her sisters Kathy Girky and Mary Ella (Clifford) Butt. Nephews and Nieces, Rodney (Connie) Casada, Amy (Jason) Mink, Barry (Lisa) Girky, Kelvin Girky & Becky (Ed) Roberts. Great nieces and nephews Spring (Bobby) Hurtt, Grant (Jill) Hardwick, Casi Casada, Whitney(Ben) Wilburn. Great Great Nephews Zabery (Lauren) Hurtt and Wyatt (anna) Hurtt.

She was preceded in death by her parents Arlie & Evelyn Hargis. Sister Julia Casada. Two brothers Edward “Bud” Hargis and Vernon Hargis. Niece Valerie Mink.

Visitation for Sue Hargis will be Friday November 15, 2019 from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Grant Hardwick officiating.

Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
