Linda Sue Barnett, age 71, passed away on June 8, 2024, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born on October 8, 1952 to the late Harold Eugene and Ruby Catherine (Rose) Gragg in Somerset, Kentucky.
Linda led a life filled with love, selflessness, and unwavering dedication. She worked as a foster grandparent for Oakwood, where her nurturing spirit touched many lives. In addition to work as a foster grandparent, Linda also found solace and joy in working as a farmer. Described as caring, loving, and giving, Linda was always on the go - ready to lend a helping hand or share a kind word with those around her. Her selfless nature and warm personality endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Apart from her professional pursuits, Linda found immense joy in simple pleasures. She had a green thumb and found peace in tending to her flowers and garden. Her connection to nature extended to her cows and pets whom she cherished dearly.
She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Barnett; Thomas Garner, who was like a son; her siblings, Robert Gragg, Lena Mae & (Ron) Wesson, and Benny Gragg; a special cousin, Carol Sumner; and various other friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Douglas M. Barnett; a sister, Mary Gragg; and a sister-in-law, Ginger Gragg;
A funeral service will be held Friday, June 14, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Ronald Rose officiating.
The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 AM until time for services.
Burial will follow in Whetstone Cemetery.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Linda Barnett's service are: Eric Dick, Phillip Campbell, Jackie Adams, Josh Wesson, Denton Barnett, and Allen Hannah.
