Leroy Stigall

Leroy Stigall was born October 3rd, 1943 in Pulaski County, Somerset, Kentucky to Atha M. Stigall and Phillip H. Stigall. Both mother and father preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Linda Diane Stigall. He departed this life on June 14, 2019. He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He attended Bourbon County School in Somerset, Kentucky where he was an active member on the basketball team. Leroy was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed hunting. In his adult life, he was a skilled craftsman and gifted in culinary southern cooking. He loved being outdoors and gardening. He leaves to cherish his memory four brothers, Melvin V. Stigall (Virginia), Roger K. Stigall (Erma), Ronnie L. Stigall (Donna), and Larry N. Stigall (Delores) of Somerset, Kentucky. He leaves one son Michael Stigall (Jackie) and four stepchildren: Shaun Justice, Latoya Collins, Johnny Collins, and Jasmine White of Lexington, Kentucky. He also leaves fifteen grandchildren: Jahcobbie Jones (Tiffany), Anthony Jones(Heather), Mika Stigall, Jessica Newby, Brandon Stigall, Michael Stigall Jr., Simone Stigall, Cheyenne Stigall, Dinina Wilkerson, Joshua Stigall (Melissa), Jamari Stigall (Amy), David Kelly, Samantha Dinman, Jessica Reynolds and thirty-six great grandchildren. Preceding him death is one sister; Geri Lewis-Gaines, four brothers; Robert L. Lewis, Marion McKinley Lewis, James A. Lewis Jr., William H. Lewis; one ex-wife, Athena Stigall; one daughter, Serita Stigall; one grandson, Lance Newby and one great granddaughter, Judith Renee Robinson. Leroy also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, cousin and friends. Bless you Daddy, Keep your game Tight. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Seibert Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. The family of Mr. Leroy Stigall will receive friends at the church from 12:00 noon Thursday until time for services.
