Leon Whiles

Leon Whiles, son of the late Elva and Nellie Fugate Whiles, was born on Thursday, August 13, 1942 and he departed this life on Monday, November 22, 2021 having attained the age of 79 years. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Haste Whiles, she survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Melissa W. Ferrell and Lorrie W. (and Levi "Danny") Lainhart all of Georgetown, KY; three grandchildren, Eric (and Bethany) Lainhart, Jordan Muse and Dylan Ferrell; and two great grandchildren, Braxton and Laykin Lainhart. Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by; five brothers, Floyd Wiles, Ferrell Glen Whiles, Harold "Turk" Whiles, Arnold Whiles and Dale Whiles; and two sisters, Juanita Cash and Ola Jean Abbott. Leon a former employee of Crane Plumbing in Ferguson, KY, and he was a member of the Heritage Hope Church of God. Leon was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the Heritage Hope Church of God with Bro. Johnny Dunbar officiating. Burial will follow in the Somerset Cemetery. The family of Mr. Leon Whiles will receive friends at the Heritage Hope Church of God from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2021.
