Lela Mae Sexton, 75, of Ferguson passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.
She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on July 18, 1949; daughter of the late Lowell M. and Glenda (Gastineau) Norton. She was a homemaker, and a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending church and spending time with her church family. Lela loved reading her bible, listening to and collecting old gospel music cassette tapes, and sitting on the porch speaking to everyone.
She is survived by two sons, Jonah Moore and Pascal Moore; grandchildren, Hailey Moore, Andrew Moore, and Steven Moore; a brother, William Mitchell "Bill" Norton & (Joan); a sister, Ada Morgan; a niece, Ada Bell Wesley; a nephew, Billie Cox; and a best friend, Ethel Brumley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph "Joey" Sexton; a brother, James Norton; a sister, Verna Sue Allen; and a brother-in-law, Russell Morgan.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Stephen Griffis officiating.
Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends after 11 AM Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Pulaski Funeral Home until time for services.
