Laura (Raney) Thompson, 65, of Eubank, Kentucky passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born on February 6, 1954; daughter of the late Cressel and Hester Blevins Raney. Laura was a retired Baker from Kroger. She was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church. Laura was an avid gardener, loved flowers, and enjoyed watching the birds. Laura loved sitting on the porch and enjoying the outdoors. She was an associate member of the Eubank Fire Department; and a member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Norman "Ed" Thompson whom she married on May 28, 1972; a daughter, Amy & (John) Rusin of Eubank; a son, Jon & (Elizabeth) Thompson of Bloomington, IN; four sisters, Lillian Raney, Sharon Gilliam, Janet Caldwell, and Sheila Raney; a brother, Richard Raney, Sr.; two grandchildren, Chandler Rusin, and Bradley Rusin; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Stan Raney; and a twin sister, Clara Raney.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Collins officiating.
Burial will be in Raney - Inabnitt Cemetery.
Visitation for Laura Thompson will be from 5-8 PM Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Pulaski Funeral Home.
Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
