Kimberly "Kim" Rose Hurt age 47 of Somerset, Kentucky went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 12, 2018 surrounded by family and friends at the University of Kentucky Medical Center following a sudden illness.
Kim was born on July 5, 1970 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH to parents Donnie and Diana Harper. Kim is survived by her parents; her husband, Don Hurt; her children, Donovan and Devan Hurt; her twin sister, Kelly & (Bobby) Bowling; her future daughter-in-law, Markie Catron; her paternal grandfather, Russell Harper; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gene and Mary Lynn Hurt; her sisters-in-law, Jeanne Hurt Sutton, and Kim Hurt Crouch & (Doug); and as host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Kim was a licensed cosmetologist and barber, but following the birth of her first child put her career on hold to become a stay at home mother. She was a dedicated mother, wife and committed herself to raising her children and taking care of her family.
Kim enjoyed gardening, working in her yard and attending her children's sporting events and school functions. She also loved to spend time with her three dogs Chloe, Isabel and Wrigley.
Kim was also a dedicated Christian and servant of Christ. Her firm Christian beliefs were the bedrock of her family upbringing and helped her to cope with life's many twists and turns. She often sacrificed herself for the benefit of others both spiritually and financially.
Kim was well liked by anyone who met her and had a calming motherly influence on many people in her life. Her kind disposition and caring personality shined through on a daily basis. She will be sincerely missed by her family and loved ones; her memory will continue on throughout their lives. The community has lost a great mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend to all, and will be a lesser place with Kim's untimely passing.
