Joyce Ann Hamm, 87, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away Friday, April 4, 2025 at her residence in Alcalde.
She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on June 5, 1937; daughter of the late George Lawrence and Serena Vienna (Schoolcraft) Brinson.
Joyce was a retired Travel Agent, and her agency was voted number one in the region by People's Choice since those ratings began. She traveled the world to learn about favorite destinations to better serve her clients. Her agency sponsored Harold's skeet team at Pulaski Outdoorsmen for many years.
She found joy in cooking, shopping, decorating and collecting recipes. These passions were matched only by the deep connections she nurtured with her family. She loved her home, delighted in the wildlife that surrounded her, and constantly marveled in the beauty of the change of seasons. Recently, she loved following Mark Pope and his Kentucky Wildcats with her husband at her side.
While health permitted, she was a devoted member of Parker's Mill Baptist Church where she held a special place in her heart for her long-running Bible study class, sharing wisdom and fellowship with a cherished group of friends. Her legacy of love, creativity, and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. Her certainty of a life everlasting was steadfast and she looked forward to this next step.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Harold Owens Hamm, whom she married on June 30, 1957 at Duke Memorial Baptist Church; her son, Mitchell & (Viktorija Ruta) Hamm of West Chester, OH; granddaughter, Trinity Maria Hamm & (Cade Harvey) of Pleasant Ridge, OH; a sister, Louise Carter of Louisville, KY; a special Australian Shepherd friend, Callie; and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Lawrence and Serena Vienna (Schoolcraft) Brinson; and two sisters, Genevieve Trimble & (Howard) of Florence, KY, and Margaret Whitis & (Edward) of Bowling Green, KY; and a brother-in-law, John Carter of Louisville, KY.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, April 10, 2025 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Clyde Strunk and Bro. Aaron Roberts officiating.
Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Pulaski Funeral Home.
Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
