Joseph King

Joseph Buster King, son of the late Thomas A. King and Frankie Lockaby Johnson King, was born in Corbin, Ky. January 10th, 1986 and he departed this life unexpectedly on Wednesday November 17th 2021, having attained the age of 35 years. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his loving grandparents Escoe Buster King and Lillie Mae Inman King.

Survivors include two sons Hunter Graf and Dylan King, as well as their mother Jennifer Graf, all of Somerset, Ky. A special friend Tasha Cox of McCreary County, Ky. His sisters Teresa King Leopold and husband Jason of Glasgow, Ky. His sister Donna King Allen and husband Tim of Bronston, Ky. His sister Dawn Marie of Tennessee. And, his brother Thomas King of Somerset, Ky. a very special mother figure, Betty King Hensley of Berea, Ky.  He is also survived by nieces Raven, Kaylen, Niki, Baylee, Alana, Lily, Olivia, and Aaryona and by nephews Jacob, Jared, Dawson, Cole, and Thomas. He is survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who mourn his passing.

He attended Somerset Community College where he became certified in mechanics and welding. He enjoyed working with his hands and staying busy. He worked in construction and loved to build and create since he was a child who loved his Lego collections. He was a kid at heart. He was an outdoorsy type of man who always carried a fishing pole with him. He preferred to sleep outside under the stars when he could. He appreciated nature and living in the country. He struggled to maintain happiness sometimes in this world but always had a smile on his face.
His favorite thing in his life was being a dad to boys and being "uncle Buster" to his nieces and nephews. He was a kindhearted, sweet natured man who fought hard to make his family proud. He left this world too soon and will be remembered by his family always.

A funeral service for Joseph will be held at 1pm Monday November 29th at Pulaski County Funeral Home with Bro. Braxton King officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetary in Barbourville, Ky. Family visitation will begin at 10am and friends welcomed at starting at 11 until time for the service.
