Joe D Gragg

Joe Dexter Gragg, age 78, of Somerset, passed away June 19, 2023 at his residence.

He was born July 8, 1944 to the late Everett Edwin and Dorothy Ruby Gragg in Somerset, Kentucky. He received a scholarship for playing college baseball in Macon, Georgia and earned a bachelor's degree in agriculture. Joe went on to work in agriculture for the University of Kentucky for over 20 years. He was also a veteran of the United States Army with a rank of First Lieutenant and worked as a Tank Unit Commander. Joe enjoyed spending his free time farming and loved any sport involving the University of Kentucky.

He is survived by one son, Adam Gragg, of Massachusetts; one brother, Dennis Gragg, of Somerset, KY; and one sister, Carol Faye Barker, of Burlington, KY.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Sharon Gragg and Glenda Withers.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 1 PM in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Jordan Gragg officiating.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Pulaski Funeral Home from 11 AM until 1 PM.

Burial will be held at Mill Springs National Cemetery.

Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
