Jewell Ava Sears

Jewell Ava Sears, daughter of the late Harlan and Lily Anders Merritt was born September 6th, 1933 and she passed away Tuesday May 21, 2024 at her residence in Poplarville, KY. having attained the age of 90 years and 8 months.
She was united in marriage to Robert Sears, he preceded her in death. Survivors include; two daughters, Sharon Farmer of Somerset, KY and Lexie (and Chester) Hubbard of London, KY; three sons, Dellis Sears (and Crystal Norris), Robert (and Gina) Sears and Doug Sears all of Somerset, KY; eight grandchildren, Rebecca (and Thomas) Dick of Somerset, KY, Lisa Farmer and Hunter Hershey of Richmond, KY, Greg (and Starr) Farmer of Eubank, KY, Tammy (and Leo) Rodriguez of Lexington, KY, Vicky (and Duane) Evans of Madison, Alabama, Michael Hubbard of London, KY, Nathanael (Audrey) Sears of Somerset, KY, and James Sears of Somerset, KY; 12 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Alexander of Richmond, KY, Iva Issacs of Paint Lick, KY and Joyce Meadows also of Paint Lick, KY; and two brothers, Oakley Merritt of Whitley City, KY and Wendell Merritt, London, KY.
Besides her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one step-granddaughter, Tina Hill; six brothers, Clifton, Dennie, Tifford, James, Kit, and Donald Merritt; and one sister, Mildred Poynter.
She was a member of the Poplarville Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 24th, 2024 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplarville Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Jewell Ava Sears will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11:00 a. m. Friday until time for services.
