Jerry Coyt

Jerry Coyt, 70, of Somerset passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020 at West Meade Nursing in Nashville.

He was born on November 17, 1949; son of the late B.J. Coyt and Ethel Goins Coyt. He was a US Vietnam Veteran, who served as a rifleman, and remained as a member of the Pulaski Co. chapter of the VFW. He enjoyed mushroom and ginseng hunting. He enjoyed feeding and watching the many birds, squirrels, and raccoons that came to his backyard.

He is survived by his wife Mary Hair Coyt; a son, Brian Coyt; and a daughter, Christina Coyt; siblings, Bill Coyt, Ronnie Coyt, and Barb Moore; seven grandchildren; special friends, Ronnie & Pam Inabnitt, and Virgil & Vickie Johnson; and his special dog children, Molly, Brandy, Chloe, and Opie.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Ruth Goins.

A graveside service honoring the life of Jerry Coyt will be held at 11 AM Friday, July 24, 2020 at Mill Springs National Cemetery, Nancy Kentucky.

Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
