Janice Sue Viars Slavey Mink

Janice Sue Viars Slavey Mink, 64 of  Mt Victory Ky passed from this life on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 following a short battle with lung cancer. 

Janice was born and raised in Ky, with the majority of her life being spent in the Mt Victory area. She enjoyed spending her time outdoors along the river fishing and camping. She also enjoyed gardening and the occasional drive on a country back road. 

Janice entered this world on September 24,1957 to Hattie Taylor Viars and William Viars. 

She is proceeded in death by her parents, sister Nora Florine "Spyze" Barnett, brother Charles Michael Viars, sister in law Julie Viars. 

She is survived by 3 daughters, Glenna (Doug) Fields of Nancy. Penny (Brandon) Taylor of Goodwater and LaDonna Steele of Science Hill. 2 sons John (Karen) Slavey of Science Hill and Damon (Danielle) Slavey of Somerset. Along with 2 brothers Bill (Rose) Viars of Mt Victory and Kyle Viars of Corbin.

Janice also leaves behind 24 grandchildren, and  great grandchildren. 

The family will be honoring Janice's last request that they not have a traditional casket ceremony but instead will be having a private celebration of life dinner and scattering her ashes on a mountaintop so that she may travel the world.
