Jane Rice Fairris

Mrs. Jane Rice Fairris, daughter of the late Hubert G. and Lois Jewell Burton Rice, was born at Larkinsville, Alabama on September 08, 1949 and she departed this life on April 5, 2018 in Somerset, Kentucky having attained the age of 68 years.She was first united in marriage to Mr. John Thomas Dean, he preceded her in death, she later married Mr. Cecil Fairris, he also preceded her in death.  She is currently united in marriage to Mr. Edward Stephens. He survives. Other survivors include; one son, Edward (and Pamela) Dean of Somerset, KY; one daughter, Sara (and David) Smith of Eubank, KY; a very special sister, Judy Rice of Somerset, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Joshua (and Megan) Dean, Miranda (and Colin) Page, Molly Smith, Ella Smith and Varl Lee; one great grandchild, Fynn Dean, two special fur babies, Foxy and Pepsi; the following brothers-in-law, Benny Bohanan, and Jimmy Dean of Skyline, Alabama; three sisters-in-law, Darlene Bohanon, and Louise Dean both of Skyline Alabama and Martha Padgett of Somerset, Kentucky; six nieces and nephews, Maranda, Lynn, Jonathan, Jayson, Mike and Tim; one step daughter, and six step-grandchildren.Other than her parents, and first two husbands, she was also preceded in death by a half sister, Vicky Pelly.Jane loved her family and enjoyed being involved with their lives any way she could. She was also a great cook and enjoyed sewing, gardening, and watching investigative TV shows. One other passion was her role at Little Oaks Academy, where she enjoyed caring for the young ones. She was a charter member of the Victory Christian Fellowship having worshiped there for 28 years. She was always thinking of others and was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She leaves a host of relatives, friends and church family who both mourn her passing and also celebrate her home going. The family would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Bro. Mark and Sister Janette Harrell for not only thier friendship over the years, but also the wonderful way they have been there for Jane and the family.A funeral service for Jane Rice Fairris will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2018 at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Harrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Science Hill Cemetery. The family of Jane Rice Fairris will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2018.In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, or the Science Hill Cemetery Fund.Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be serving the family of Jane Rice Fairris during this time.
