James H Sullivan, 87, of Berea Kentucky, passed away Saturday, September 9th 2017, at St. Joseph Hospital in Berea, Ky.James was born on May 29, 1930 in Washington Co., In; son of the late Harry Sullivan and Lillie Deaton Sullivan. He co-founded and operated Sullivan Insurance in Lexington for nearly 25 years; he would later sell mobile homes for D & D Mobile Homes and continue working until his retirement in May of 2017, just days before his 87th birthday. He enjoyed watching church on WLJC and was a Kentucky Colonel. He is survived by a loving companion; Kelda Wade of Berea, a daughter; Donna (Chris) Smith of Paris, Ky; a son, Michael Sullivan of Lexington, Ky; a brother Donald (Joyce) Sullivan of In; a step daughter; Debbie (Danny) McKinney of Lexington, Ky; two granddaughters, Nicole Alsept of Richmond, Ky; Kristen & (Joseph) Glover of Mt. Washington, Ky; two step-grandsons, Jimmy McKinney and Justin McKinney both of Lexington, Ky; three great-grandchildren; Galaxy Smith, Christopher Glover, and Delsie Alsept; six step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be, Joseph Glover, John Frederick, Darren Eckler, Jimmy McKinney, Justin McKinney and Tim Wade.Honorary pallbearers will be, Danny McKinney, Chris Smith, Wade Gover and William Gover. He is preceeded in death by his parents; Harry and Lillie Sullivan; and brothers Ernest Sullivan, and Boyd Sullivan. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, September 13, 2 017 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home.Burial will be in Burnside Cemetery.Visitation will be after 11 AM Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Pulaski Funeral Home until time for services.Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
