James Irvin "Jim" Phelps

James Irvin "Jim" Phelps, Jr., age 72, of Hindman, KY, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Medical Center at Hazard, KY. He is survived by; three brothers, Gary Phelps, Alden Phelps and Jonathan (Kathy) Phelps; seven sisters, Linda Phelps, Jennifer (Gary) Taylor, Debbie (Donnie) Todd, Darlene (Kendall) Murphy, Sherri (Paul) Bubnick, Pam (Mike) Burdine and Barbara (Tony) DePrato, a very special aunt, Freeda Murphy; a host of nieces and nephews, and a brother-in-law, Randy Allen.He was preceded in death by; his parents, James Irvin Phelps Sr. and Elsie Marie Hall Phelps; one sister, Judy Allen; and one niece, Missi Taylor.Funeral services will be held at Pulaski Funeral Home on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 1:00 PM with visitation being held at the Pulaski Funeral Home, Sunday evening from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at Phelps Family Cemetery at Somerset, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: Hindman Settlement School and Hindman First Baptist Church.Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all local arrangements.
