Carson Jack Gregory departed from this life on August 14, 2024, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Jack was born to Andrew and Maggie Bray Gregory on August 30, 1953, in Somerset, Kentucky.
He is survived by his wife Meloney Gregory of Somerset, and his sons, Major Carson Jack Gregory II of Frankfort, Kentucky, and Joshua (and Amanda) Gregory of Somerset. Also left behind to cherish his memory are five grandchildren, Kirsten (23), Alyssa (21), Blake (15), Jaxon (11), and Parker (8), and one brother, Jimmy (and Linda) Gregory of Greencastle, IN, and a multitude of other loving family and friends.
A Jack of all trades, Jack retired from the Army in 1985, and went on to supervise at Crane Plumbing and drive for Consolidated Pipe and Supply, before retiring as a security guard from Thompson-Hood Veteran Center in Wilmore, Kentucky. Those who knew Jack knew he was a friend to everyone, and that he never knew a stranger. He will surely be missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers – Benny, Bobby, Carl, Charlie, and Harold Gregory– and one sister, Verla Bumgardner.
A funeral Service will be held, Monday, August 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. David Carr officiating.
The family will receive friends at Pulaski Funeral Home on Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Burial Will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery, with military honors performed by American Legion Post # 38.
