Hilery Adkins, son of the late Harvey and Ruby Cox Adkins, was born at Winfield, TN on July 25, 1933. He passed away on January 3, 2020 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY. with his eldest grandson by his side. He retired from East KY RECC with over 30 years of service as a lineman based at the Cooper Power Plant in Burnside, KY. Hilery loved to hunt, fish and camp at Rock Lick with friends and family, as well as raising livestock and gardening. He was well known for roasting pigs and entertaining a vast array of family and friends at his log cabin he built in Bronston. The dust raised by the clogging in that cabin was a sight and sound to behold. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Georgia Jones Adkins, two daughters, three grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by one daughter, one granddaughter, and two son-in-laws. A funeral service for Hilery Adkins will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 9th at the Pulaski Funeral Home.
