Herbert McKinley "Herb" Stone, 90 years of age, of Somerset, Kentucky, departed this life and joined his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in Heaven on Friday, October 4th, 2019 at 2:25 AM at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center. Herb was born in Pulaski Co., Kentucky on October 15th, 1928; son of the late Cyrus "Lasses": Stone and Mary Nancy Ziglar Stone. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Parkers Mill Road Baptist Church. He was a retire plumber, electrical, and heating and air conditioning contractor and a member of the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Stars and the Odd Fellows Lodge. Herb is survived by his wife, Jean Stone; a son, Joseph & (Vickie) Stone of Somerset; a step-son, Gary & (Lynn) of Marietta, GA.; a step-daughter, Elizabeth & (Tom) Ullmer of Philadelphia, PA; eight-grandchildren, Adam & (Alicia) Stone, Ashely Stone, Brian Stout, Jennifer & (Tim) Girdle, Steven Stout, Cary & (Will) Daniel, Kyler Ullmer, and Monica Ullmer; two great-granddaughters, Madisyn Coffman, and Amelia Danie; two great-grandsons, Ethan Girdler, and Andrew Girdler; two brothers, Kenneth & (Janet) Stone of Hagerstown, IN, and Richard & (Kathy) Cundiff of Somerset; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Mae Rogers Stone, whom he married on October 3, 1946; a sister, Evelyn Foster; and two brothers, Jessie Stone, and James Stone. A Masonic service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Pulaski Funeral Home by Masonic Lodge # 111 F & AM The family will receive friends after 6 PM Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home. Burial will be in Tanner Cemetery. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, October 11, 2019 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. David Bullock officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post # 38. Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
